Get focused in natural beauty at YMCA Camp Cherokee! Camp Cherokee sits on the 60-acre Lake York neighboring the Kings Mountain State Park. Camp Cherokee is a great place to build lasting relationships and experience nature on a whole different level. The friendly and creative staff will tailor any program for your next school or group retreat. From elementary school retreats for students, staff retreats for teachers to fraternities, the staff will create the perfect retreat for any group. With access to the newly remodeled mess hall, bunk-bed cabins, athletic field, sand volleyball court, and new basketball hoops, there is something for everyone. Camp also offers weekend groups 5-6 meals and program planning.
Activities may include: canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boarding (SUP), rock climbing wall, archery, volleyball, with additional packages including a 10 element canopy tour, low ropes, and team building. In addition, we offer an environmental education program specifically designed to meet state standards.
